The only emotion in the future will be extreme grief only to be interrupted occasionally by intrusive conspiratorial thoughts of who is responsible for that grief. The true hell, though, is we’re not gonna let each other die, which would be the only refuge. When we’re dead, that’s when the real work will begin.

So subtlety cooked into this one is a psychological horror movie. A matriarch figure spends her last months of life brilliantly manipulating her two sons to fuck each other’s girlfriends while under the same roof at Christmas break. I’m bringing this project to Bong Joon-ho.
